We are a church of Christ (Romans 16:16), made up of Christians, a term used in the Bible in Acts 11:26. We are not affiliated with any denomination. Rather, we belong to Jesus Christ, so the church carries His name.
What we believe What We Believe about People—We believe that every person’s soul will exist forever (Matthew 16:26). Every person has sinned or makes mistakes (Romans 3:23). Only Christ can take away those sins and forgive those mistakes (John 14:6, Hebrews 5:8,9). This is important because God expects us all to live right (Titus 2:12). One day, God will judge all people to determine if they are good or bad (Acts 17:31, 2 Corinthians 5:10). We want to please God.
What We Believe about the Bible– “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We believe that all of the Bible makes us whole and complete, so we do not need denominations or religious leaders with special titles.
What We Believe about the Church– Jesus built His church (Matthew 16:18). We are a church of Christ, striving to be nothing more or less. Quite simply, Jesus is Head of the church so we follow His lead (Ephesians 5:23; Colossians 1:18). Over the centuries, people have changed the simplicity and purity of worship and service to Jesus Christ. We want to serve Him well.
What to wear when you visit?-We are an informal church and we accept people as they are—just as Christ accepted us. We do not put on a fashion show to worship God because our focus is on Him, not on ourselves.
What to Expect when you get here-We worship by singing spiritual songs, praying, reading from the Bible, and taking the Lord’s Supper. We hope you will worship God with us. You would always be welcomed!
